Box office Update : Aamir Khan’s Dangal BEATS the 3 Day total of Salman Khan’s Sultan

Aamir Khan‘s Dangal set the box office on fire as it released on December 23. It earned a massive Rs 106.95 crore in the opening weekend. As trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed about the detailed collections through his tweet, “#Dangal Fri 29.78 cr, Sat 34.82 cr, Sun 42.35 cr. Total: Rs 106.95 cr [incl Tamil and Telugu]. India biz. FANTABULOUS!”

If you compare this collection with the first three day’s collection of Sultan, you will realise that Aamir Khan has beaten Salman Khan this year. Sultan had collected Rs 105.34 crore, as compared to Dangal‘s Rs 106.95 crore. However, even though Dangal has beaten Sultan‘s three-day collection, it couldn’t challenge the first weekend collection of Sultan, which still stands at a staggering Rs 180.36 crore (5 day weekend).
